Level 10 Martial Arts College School Philosophy
At Level 10 Martial Arts College we believe in developing holistic life-skills in our students. Our goal with each student is to help that person reach their goals and increase their confidence through the process of setting and achieving goals.
We are a family-oriented school that believes there is something for everyone at our school. There aren’t many family activities where Mom, Dad and the children can all be actively involved in setting and achieving a worthwhile goal, such as achieving a Black Belt.
We are highly selective with who we allow to become students and are looking for people who have a desire for personal development and improvement of quality of life rather than simply learning to fight. We're only interested in kids and adults who seriously want to train in the martial arts as a way to improve their lives ( we are not a "sport" school). We are not interested in accepting students just to collect tuition. We do not "hand out" rank at our school. Each student earns each rank.
Our program becomes increasinlgly challenging the higher up students go, and our expectations of students (physically AND mentally) increase at each level as well. We believe that achievment of worthwhile goals are how confidence is built. Without some struggle and sacrifice there can be no "true" development.
At Level 10 Martial Arts College it's less about the money and more about the results we see. We're only interested in students who are ready to "play." Bench warmers need not apply ;)
We are not a sports-oriented school. The pursuit of trophies is not our primary agenda. The pursuit of excellence in one’s everyday life is our primary agenda. We do, however, offer competition to students who have an interest, but are very selective with the type of environment that our students are exposed to. The majority of our training is not geared towards competitions, but we do offer two days per week of training that will help those students who wish to compete in local or national tournaments.
Students who train with us share the vision of becoming Black Belts, and put a high priority on self-improvement and living a healthy lifestyle. We do not consider the Martial Arts to be a sport, a hobby or an extra-curricular activity. Level 10 Martial Arts College is an educational activity and a lifestyle choice. Prospective students who are interested in becoming serious competitors or looking for a short-term physical activity are better served by looking into another school.
The Martial Arts are one of the only activities where you wear your goals around your waist to continually remind you where you have come from and where you are going.
